School Parliament

           School Parliament

                           -Together we learn and grow-

Our School Parliament represents the views of all children at Maple Infants’ School and provides them with the opportunity to share their views.

We feel that our School Parliament really helps our children to begin to understand the fundamental British Values, especially ‘Democracy’.

Our School Parliamentarians are voted into their posts by their peers, often in the autumn term.  Each class in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have 2 School Parliament posts and so we have 18 School Parliamentarians across the school each year.

Generally, each term runs for the rest of the academic year and they meet as a team at least once a half term (but usually more) with different members of our staff team, depending on their focus at any one time.

Every member wears a "School Parliament" badge so they can be recognized by others and they are encouraged to always lead by example.
