Parent Consultations

The Parent Consultations were very well attended and I hope you found them useful and informative. Thursday evening saw the turning on of the Christmas lights in Kingston and the event kicked off with the Maple Infants’ Year 2 choir! The children performed brilliantly and were a credit to the school!

Cygnet Taster Session & The Landirani Trust Assembly

We always encourage our familities to take up a hot meal option especially during the colder months and it is very positive to see that so many of you choose to do this. As a result we have organised a taster session to take place in the school hall on Monday 17th November at 2.45pm.

Please do come along and enter via the school office. Samples of Cygnet Catering will be available for you to taste and if you want to encourage your child to take up a hot meal offer more often, you will be able to pick up your child from his or her classroom for a little taste also! Please return the slip below if you are able to attend.

Thank you all so much for your kind donations to The Landirani Trust this year at our Harvest Festival, we managed to raise £261.94. Heather Palmer from Landirani is due to visit Maple next Tuesday 18th November at 2.30pm to do an assembly for us. All parents are invited to come along at this time and Heather will be happy to meet you after the assembly.

Last week!

I hope that everyone enjoyed the firework festivities last week and I look forward to seeing you at the Parents’ Consultations on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are unable to attend, please see your child’s class teacher to book an alternative date.

A message to Oak Class

The children who came in their culture outfits today looked fantastic! Thank you for sharing your outfits with the school.

Today we looked at and made 3D shapes with playdough. I asked the children to see if they could find any sphere or cube shaped objects at home. Can they find and name any other 3D shapes?

I have also asked the children if they would like to decorate their learning journal over half term. They may stick on the front cover any photographs, pictures, or drawings to personalise their journal. They may also add any pictures, stories or photographs inside the journal.

Last of all,  I hope everyone in Oak Class has a lovely half term break. They have been working hard and deserve it.

See you all after half-term,

Miss Pearcey

Cultural Diversity Assembly

I thought that the Cultural Diversity Assembly today was a wonderful event! Thank you so much to those who attended and especially the parents who dressed for the occasion. An excellent way to end the first half-term!
