Oak Class were brilliant today in their BE GOOD TO YOURSELF HEALTH WORKSHOP. All children really enjoyed their responsibilities as ‘EXPLAINERS’ and worked hard to present themselves confidently and clearly.
Well done all of you! I’m sure your families were very proud of you.
Thank you parents for such a lovely turn out too…I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Listen to the 5-a-day song

We have all thoroughly enjoyed rehearsing, practising and creating our fantastic performance of ‘CHRISTMAS WITH THE ALIENS’. The children put a lot of effort in to the songs, dances and their vocal projection and this definitely paid off in their performances.
Well done Oak Class! You made me very proud!!

As you should be aware, we are due to go on our first Educational Visit in Year 2 to the London Transport Museum on 7th October 2009.
If you are available, and would be willing to come along and help us on that day, please come and see me or leave a note in the red tray!
Without your help, these exciting, stimulating and memorable trips wouldn’t be possible.
Many thanks!
9.30am and 7.00pm
Dear Year 2 parents and carers,
We would like to invite you to our Year 2 Leavers’ concert.
Parents with toddlers are asked to attend the 9.30am dress rehearsal. For the 7pm performance we will initially have to limit the allocation to 2 tickets per family. There will be refreshments after the evening concert. We kindly ask you not to bring babies or toddlers to this concert as we have limited space. If you require a child’s ticket your child will be expected to sit at the front on benches if the performance is full. If you would like additional tickets (e.g. for grandparents), should they become available, please complete the attached reply slip.
Children participating should arrive at school for the evening concert at 6.40pm. Class teachers will advise you of any costume requests and, if your child cannot participate, please let us know as soon as possible.
Please complete the response slip and return to school by Thursday 16th July. Tickets will be sent out by pupil post from the class trays.
I do look forward to seeing you at this happy event that celebrates your child’s time at Maple Infants’.
The children who came in their culture outfits today looked fantastic! Thank you for sharing your outfits with the school.
Today we looked at and made 3D shapes with playdough. I asked the children to see if they could find any sphere or cube shaped objects at home. Can they find and name any other 3D shapes?
I have also asked the children if they would like to decorate their learning journal over half term. They may stick on the front cover any photographs, pictures, or drawings to personalise their journal. They may also add any pictures, stories or photographs inside the journal.
Last of all, I hope everyone in Oak Class has a lovely half term break. They have been working hard and deserve it.
See you all after half-term,
Miss Pearcey
All parents from Oak Class are invited to come along to the school hall on Thursday 23 October at 2.45pm to see a repeat performance of their lovely assembly. Hope to see you there!
All children in Rowan class have settled in very well and we are looking forward to our first trip to The London Transport Museum.
Please come along to meet the Year 2 team and take the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. The meeting will take place in Rowan Class. Please arrive promptly via the front entrance.
