We have been learning about what happens in a church and we enjoyed our visit to St. Mark’s Church.
Copper Beech had great fun learning tag rugby in P.E. Watch out England we make a fantastic team!

We have had a lovely first week back and do feel free to pop in and see the new classroom at the end of the day.

We had a lovely time on World Book Day and the Reception children were suprised to see The Seven Dwarves at school!
As an end to our topic, “People who help us”, Chestnut, Laurel and Silver Birch class are having an ’I want to be …? ‘ day on Wednesday, 26th November. Your child can come fully or partly dressed up (e.g. a fireman’s helmet, ballet dancer etc.) or use school dressing up clothes when they arrive. Please bear in mind that your child will need to sit down and be warm and comfortable throughout the day.
The Young Town Planners will be in School on Wednesday 30th April working with Year 1 to develop their logic, mathematics, manual dexterity, practical design and teamwork skills in a Lego workshop.
As part of Book Week, Year 1 and 2 classes watched ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ performance by The Freshwater Theatre Company and they will be back with “Teddies” story sessions for the Nursery and Reception on the Monday 10th March.
Key Stage 1 children loved the play.
