EDF at school tonight (13.07.09)

Due to the power cut affecting Maple, SASM and the houses around, EDF Energy electricians have been at school all day.

Power has been returned to the houses but not to school. Shops on Maple Road were not effected as they use a separate supply. As of 8:30pm tonight, EDF were still working on the school power supply and will be there overnight if necessary.

Unfortunately, we still do not know whether Maple Infants’ can be open tomorrow but are hopeful that it will be.

For those registered for SMS messages, we will send out a text update as soon as we know whether EDF are able to fix the problem, this may only be before school tomorrow morning. Updates will also be posted on this website as soon as we have them.

Abandoned scooters (Newsletter 6, 26.06.09)

Over the year a number of scooters have been abandoned in the playground!

On the last day they will be placed by the back gate for anyone to claim. If they do not find homes they will go to the charity shop.

Don’t forget that bikes should not be parked there as we do not have enough space.

Many thanks for all your kind donations. We have collected £734.15 so far and our NSPCC representative is delighted and has thanked the children in an assembly recently.

Nursery [Newsletter No.5 - 21.5.09]

Please don’t forget how important punctuality is especially at a time when your child is rapidly approaching admission to the main school. Arriving late means that the start to the session is missed and is often unsettling for the children.
