After an exciting topic last half term based on the Roald Dahl stories, Jade Class are starting a new topic called ‘Be good to yourself’ this week. Watch this space for updates on our topic over the next few weeks.

This week will be a very busy one at Maple. Please refer to the timetable attached to my newsletter for details. I will be attending the Heads’ Conference for a few days also, so will miss some of the fun but will return on Friday in time for the class photos. Assistant Heads, Miss Funnell and Mrs Bober-Lovett will, of course, be steering the ship. Have a good weekend!

Oh dear! Seems as if the teddy bears have had a bit of a party overnight and didn’t stay in bed! Miss Funnell has found bears all over the classroom this morning – reading books, listening to stories with the headphones, playing on the computer and even swinging off the ceiling. Gold Class will need to have strong words with them…
Gold Class can bring their teddy bears to school on Thursday 28th February for a sleepover. We will be using the bears for some of our lessons on Goldilocks, before tucking them into bed at the end of the school day. Miss Funnell wonders if they will behave themselves in the school overnight? Watch this space…
Gold Class have been busy having adventures with Flat Stanley over the half term holiday! Letters, pictures and cards have been sent to Miss Funnell, and are now on display in the school corridor.
There was no birthday and merits assembly on Friday 22nd February as this was during half term.
